Welcome to Lost Post. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Using Lost Post
Lost Post allows users to share text stories, prompts, and memories. You must create an account to use the app. By using the app, you acknowledge that you may see content created by other users, which may include opinions or ideas you disagree with. We are not responsible for user-generated content.
2. User Content
Users may post text only. By submitting content, you grant Lost Post a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, excerpt, publish, display and distribute your content within the app. You agree that:
- Posting personal information about yourself or others (addresses, phone numbers, company names, websites, social media) is prohibited.
- Violations of these rules may result in content removal or account termination.
- We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
3. Promotional Use of Your Content
The license in Section 2 also allows us to promote the app. Specifically, you grant Lost Post the right to use, reproduce, adapt, excerpt, publish and display the following in marketing and promotional materials for Lost Post, in any media now known or later developed — including our website, App Store listing and screenshots, social media accounts, press materials, newsletters, and paid advertising:
- The writing you post, in whole or excerpted.
- Your age range and gender, where you have provided them, shown alongside your writing in the same way they appear in the app.
- The postcard design you create, including the layout, stamps, colours, and other elements you select.
We will not use your name or email address in promotional materials, and we will not present promotional content in a way that identifies you personally. We may make minor edits for length, formatting, or clarity, and you waive any moral rights you may hold in the content for these purposes to the extent permitted by law.
This promotional license is royalty-free — you will not receive payment for such use. If you delete a post or your account, we will stop using that content in new promotional materials, but materials already published or distributed may remain in circulation. You can object to promotional use of your content at any time by contacting us at hello@daydrift.design.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Post personal information about yourself or others.
- Spam or advertise without permission.
- Attempt to hack or disrupt the app or its services.
- Engage in illegal activities through the app.
5. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these terms or for any reason permitted by law.
6. Paid Features
Lost Post may offer in-app purchases and subscriptions. All purchases are subject to the rules of the App Store. Refunds are handled according to the App Store policies.
7. Liability
Lost Post is not responsible for any user-generated content. By using the app, you acknowledge that you may see content created by others. We provide the app “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for any damages arising from its use.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved according to EU law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms of Service. The updated terms will be effective as of the date posted. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
